#MySoBoStory
“I started at SoBo as an Account Manager right out of college (gig’em!). The training and support I received in my first couple of years allowed me to grow into the role of Senior Account Manager and take on more responsibility. When an Assistant Branch Manager role opened up, my team encouraged me to apply. Now, a few years later, I’m one of the youngest Branch Managers in the industry. I’m thankful to be part of a company that supports my career growth!”

FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me more about your benefits?
We offer Paid Time Off (PTO), parental leave, and paid holidays including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Our benefits plans include health, dental, and vision insurance. We have a 401(k) with 4% company match after 6 months of employment.
Do you offer remote or hybrid opportunities?
The majority of our positions are in-office and we do not offer fully-remote positions; however, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Schedules and working locations vary depending on specific roles and responsibilities.
Where will I work?
Most of our teams work from our beautiful Dallas headquarters (I-35 and Mockingbird) or at our north branch in Carrollton (Belt Line and Josey). All of our corporate support positions work from the Dallas headquarters. The specific job you apply for lists the preferred location.
What’s the dress code?
Although we are in the landscaping industry, we believe in looking sharp and professional. This helps us have equal business stature with our clients. You’ll find our corporate teams wearing business casual and our field-related teams in “landscape professional” which means no jeans, a nice SoBo collared shirt, and appropriate footwear for the day’s work. We provide our office teams with a voucher each fall and spring to assist with purchasing branded apparel of their choosing.
Do you work on weekends?
We typically work Monday through Friday and minimize work on nights and weekends.
Is the green industry good for a long-term career?
Landscaping can be a great career path as it can be rewarding, offer generous benefits, and pay well. The professional landscape industry is a $175 billion dollar industry and it is mostly made up of small entrepreneurial companies like us as well as those with a national reach.
