Southern Botanical is a privately owned landscape maintenance and tree care company serving commercial and residential properties in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex since 1995.
Locally owned by a Dallas native, Southern Botanical is nationally recognized as one of the top 100 landscape companies in America. Southern Botanical provides complete landscape care, including award-winning landscape design and construction, landscape maintenance, certified arborist tree care, plant health care, water-efficient irrigation services, seasonal enhancements, and emergency weather response, for both commercial and residential properties. Every service is delivered according to The Green Standard, a company-wide commitment to proactive care, consistent communication, sustainability, and long-term landscape performance.
Southern Botanical employs more than 400 landscape professionals. Long-standing presence in the region gives Southern Botanical a deep knowledge of North Texas soils, climate patterns, and growing conditions. This regional expertise allows us to design, maintain, and manage landscapes, irrigation systems, and plant health to perform reliably over time, not just seasonally.

Our residential services are offered on a more selective basis, with a focus on Preston Hollow, Highland Park, and the White Rock Lake area. Our Story
It all started with a boy who wanted a bike…
At age 12, Southern Botanical founder Jason Craven started mowing lawns in his Dallas neighborhood to earn money for a new bicycle. His entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, and devotion to quality kept him going long after he bought that bike. By high school his business had extended well beyond his neighborhood – and well beyond what he could maintain alone.
Today, more than 30 years later, Southern Botanical employs over 400 landscape professionals and is nationally recognized as the leading North Texas landscape company serving Dallas, Fort Worth, and the surrounding communities. While the scale has grown, the foundation remains the same – a focus on long-term relationships, dependable service, attention to detail, and thoughtful stewardship of every property entrusted to our care.
