Southern Botanical Wins Three NALP Awards of Excellence

(Dallas, Texas, September, 2026) – Southern Botanical, a landscape management company serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area, has been recognized with three 2026 Awards of Excellence from the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) — two Gold and one Silver — spanning residential and commercial categories.

Rosewood Court — Gold, Commercial Landscape Contracting

At one of Uptown Dallas’s busiest intersections, Southern Botanical rebuilt this Class AA office property’s 18,300-square-foot bed system, layering evergreen structure along with the property’s signature Caroline Hunt Roses. Mature trees were removed, and 18-to-20-foot replacement maples were installed entirely by hand. Excavation then uncovered irrigation lines fractured by root pressure, turning a targeted repair into a full system overhaul of roughly 6,700 linear feet of pipe. Southern Botanical has served as the property’s landscape partner since 2018.

Lively North Dallas Residence — Gold, Residential Landscape Management

Under Southern Botanical’s care since 2020, this North Dallas property was reworked from a bed system that leaned heavily on seasonal perennials into one built around evergreen anchors — Boxwoods and Variegated Pittosporum — layered with Agave ‘Blue Glow,’ Catmint, Wintercreeper, and Drift Roses. The landscape is maintained under a twice-weekly porter service and a maintenance program requiring seasonal color at a minimum of 80 percent bloom, a standard of care that extended to a custom fall display of more than 3,300 hand-placed pumpkins in 2025.

Bluffview Estate — Silver, Residential Design-Build

A multi-phase renovation on sloped, tree-covered terrain in Dallas’s Bluffview neighborhood, built around problems that lived mostly underground: extensive tree roots, buried rock, and aging infrastructure shaped every decision on retaining wall placement and irrigation routing. Southern Botanical rebuilt the irrigation system, reconstructed retaining walls, and redesigned drainage to resolve erosion, while a green-and-white planting palette of Hydrangeas, Ligustrum, and ornamental grasses gave the property a cohesive, low-maintenance finish. Southern Botanical previously maintained the property under a former owner and was rehired by the current owner on that history.

Southern Botanical’s NALP Awards of Excellence recognize outstanding design, installation, and maintenance work across the U.S. landscape industry. More information is available at www.landscapeprofessionals.org.
