Southern Botanical Wins Gold and Two Silver Awards at NALP, Landscapes 2018
The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) announced that Dallas-based Southern Botanical, Inc. has been awarded a prestigious Gold award as well as two Silver Awards for their exemplary work on three spectacular commercial properties. The awards were presented at the 49th annual National Landscape Awards of Excellence Program Oct 18th in Louisville, Kentucky as part of the Landscapes 2018 conference. This is the premier national awards program in the landscape industry and the awards ceremony is part of NALP’s Green Industry Conference. The Gold Award is the program’s top category and is presented to projects that go above and beyond the standard. NALP’s awards program recognizes interiorscape, landscape, and lawn care professionals who design and create superior projects, and reflects the association’s commitment to supporting members in the creation and preservation of great landscapes.
The Gold Award was awarded for commercial work at the Dallas Arboretum. The Silver Awards were presented for two additional commercial projects – Turtle Creek office gardens and a high-tech Corporate Courtyard. All three projects won in the Commercial Landscape Contracting Above $1,000,000 category. All three projects took previously un-utilized space and transformed it into spectacular gardens and inviting outdoor living areas.
Sponsored by the NALP, this awards program is the nation’s premier industry event and recognizes excellence in installation, design, design/build, maintenance and special projects. Entries were judged on the basis of difficulty, craftsmanship and attention to detail, in addition to specific criteria listed in each category. Each of the entry categories was evaluated independently.
