Southern Botanical System Analyst Yi Wei Featured in Industry Podcast
DALLAS, Texas – Southern Botanical System Analyst Yi Wei was recently featured on the “Toolbox for the Trades” podcast, where she shared insights on operational strategy, data management, employee development, and the growing role of technology in the commercial landscaping industry.

Southern Botanical currently tracks approximately 30 operational metrics across ticket management, opportunities, billing, and accounting workflows to improve visibility across the organization.
The episode also explored the company’s use of “gate checks,” a process designed to verify operational accuracy before issues impact billing, reporting, or customer service outcomes. Wei emphasized that many operational problems originate upstream during estimating and sales processes, reinforcing the importance of training and standardized operating procedures.
