Southern Botanical Receives National Award for Lively North Dallas Residence 

(Dallas, Texas, September, 2026) – Southern Botanical, a landscape management company serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area, has been awarded a Gold Award of Excellence by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) in the Residential Landscape Management category. 

Tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac, this Lively North Dallas Garden has been under Southern Botanical’s care since 2020. Our team redesigned planting beds that had grown overly reliant on seasonal perennials, introducing evergreen anchors — Boxwoods and Variegated Pittosporum — alongside layered plantings of Agave ‘Blue Glow,’ Catmint, Wintercreeper, and Drift Roses to give the property year-round structure and color. Soil improvements and selective pruning supported the transition, restoring plant health in beds that had previously delivered only short bursts of seasonal interest. 

The landscape is maintained under a twice-weekly porter service, allowing our team to address details the moment they arise, along with a maintenance program that includes shrub replacement and seasonal color installed at a minimum of 80 percent bloom for immediate visual impact. That standard of care extends beyond routine maintenance: in fall 2025, the client asked Southern Botanical to design a custom Halloween display featuring more than 3,300 hand-placed pumpkins arranged on custom-built risers, reflecting the same level of detail found throughout the property year-round. 

Each year, the National Association of Landscape Professionals Awards of Excellence highlights exceptional projects in commercial and residential landscaping across the U.S. In 2026, 286 awards were presented to companies for their outstanding work in the industry.
