Southern Botanical Featured by Pro Landscaper USA

Southern Botanical’s Harwood No. 14, one of Dallas’ most ambitious commercial landscape projects, has been featured by Pro Landscaper USA as a standout example of elevated urban landscape design.

Built by Southern Botanical, a leading Dallas commercial landscaping company, Harwood No. 14 transforms more than 26,000 square feet of rooftop and ground-level outdoor space into a refined garden retreat in the heart of Uptown Dallas. The project reflects a careful balance of artistry, engineering, and long-term performance, delivering a landscape that feels both immersive and enduring within a dense urban setting.

Commissioned by Harwood International in 2021, the landscape was envisioned as more than an amenity. The client sought a tranquil environment that could offer pause and reflection above the energy of the city below. Southern Botanical responded with a layered composition inspired by Japanese garden principles, combining evergreen structure, seasonal rhythm, and sculptural plant forms adapted to North Texas conditions.

Executing this landscape design and installation required specialized expertise. All materials, including mature trees and custom stone elements, were installed twelve stories above street level. Southern Botanical self-performed the entire scope of work, coordinating complex logistics, crane scheduling, and phased installation within an active construction site to maintain quality and design integrity.
