Southern Botanical CEO Featured in Fort Worth Report “Made in Tarrant” Series
FORT WORTH, Texas – Southern Botanical founder and CEO Jason Craven was recently featured in the Fort Worth Report as part of its “Made in Tarrant” series, which spotlights businesses contributing to the economic and community growth of Tarrant County.
The feature coincides with Southern Botanical’s 30th year in business and the opening of its Fort Worth–area office in Haltom City, expanding the company’s footprint across North Texas.
From Dallas Startup to Leading DFW Landscape Company
Founded in Dallas in the mid-1990s, Southern Botanical began as a small lawn service operated by Craven during his teenage years.
“I had full-time employees by the time I was in high school,” Craven told the Fort Worth Report. “I actually worked out of my mom’s house for the first several years of the business.”
Over three decades, the company has grown into a full-service landscape and tree care firm providing landscape design, irrigation installation, commercial landscape maintenance, and plant and tree health care for residential and commercial properties throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
Fort Worth Office Supports Regional Clients and Operations
The new Haltom City location allows Southern Botanical to better serve Fort Worth-area clients and reduce daily travel demands on its teams.
“Our team commutes from our Dallas office to Fort Worth daily,” Craven said. “Not having to make that commute—everybody’s very happy about it.”
What Sets Southern Botanical Apart
When asked what differentiates Southern Botanical, Craven pointed to consistency and long-term thinking.
“We really sweat the details,” he said. “Our clients appreciate that we’re looking out for their investment. It sounds simple, but it’s very hard to execute.”
Southern Botanical Today
Today, Southern Botanical operates from offices in Dallas, Carrollton, and Haltom City, serving clients across North Texas with a focus on long-term landscape performance, disciplined systems, and professional stewardship.
