May 31, 2017, Dallas, Tx --
Landscape industry publication Lawn & Landscape recently released its prestigious Top 100 list of landscape companies nationwide and Dallas-based Southern Botanical has again been named to the list. The annual list ranks landscape companies based on annual revenues and specifies number of employees, number of locations and revenue increase percentages from year to year. Southern Botanical, Inc has successfully grown year after year based on its focus on meticulous attention to detail, personalized client service and a well-trained, highly qualified team. They have been included on the list since 2012. This year they were ranked #64, up from last years 73. See the entire list in the May 2017 issue here: http://magazine.lawnandlandscape.com/issue/may-2017
Jason Craven, Southern Botanical’s President and CEO, started the company in the 90’s mowing lawns while still in high school, and the company has been growing dramatically ever since. From those humble beginnings, the company now has a national reputation, a prestigious clientele and over 200 employees.
“The companies on the Top 100 list represent an elite group in the landscape industry, and they represent what a landscaper is to thousands of homeowners and property managers across North America,” says Lawn & Landscape Editor and Associate Publisher Chuck Bowen. “The 100 companies on this year’s list are examples of what makes the landscape industry and its people so great: determination, dedication and serving a purpose greater than themselves.”
This year’s Top 100 is based on 2016 revenue from landscape profit centers, as reported by each of the listed companies. The companies on this list earned a combined revenue of $9,161,843,124 in 2016, which is an increase of $594,598,970 or 6.9 percent, over 2015. Companies on the list also reported total employment of 95,125. Based on the data, the average growth expected in 2017 is 9.9 percent.
“Success truly is contagious when you surround yourself with positive examples, and you’ll find them in this report,” says David Alkire, vice president, residential and landscape contractor businesses, at the Toro Company who sponsors the list and May issue. “As landscape industry professionals, we share a common goal – not only to create beautiful landscapes but also to care for the land and its resources. The stories in this issue are a perfect example of how the choices you make can lead to vibrant futures, and we congratulate all of this year’s landscape companies on their continued success.”
