New Headquarters Facility Nears Completion

New Headquarters Facility Nears Completion

August 20, 2018, Dallas, Texas --

Southern Botanical's new 5.4 acre, 45,000 sf headquarters facility has been under construction on Halifax Street in Dallas for the last year and is nearing completion. The new facility will provide the growing company with much needed office, warehouse, parking and shop space while turning a previously dreary industrial area into a vibrant, landscaped corporate headquarters. As the facility has been progressing through the finish-out stage, the Southern Botanical Team has been anxiously awaiting the time when operations will finally be full-time in the new location.

The existing structures have undergone significant renovations both aesthetically and environmentally. The site had historically been a diesel truck repair facility and significant clean up was required. Eco-conscious Southern Botanical was committed to the various needs for environmental remediation to effectively improve the site prior to the extensive renovations. A ceremonial tree-planting event was held in April that appropriately recognized the landscaping milestone for a green-industry company such as Southern Botanical.

The company plans to be permanently moved into the new space in September/October 2018.

This July, Southern Botanical's Alan Richmond joined hundreds of other industry professionals at the National Association of Landscape Professionals Day on the Hill and for the largest service event in the industry – Renewal & Remembrance. The three-day event combines community service with advocacy as members head to Capitol Hill for Legislative Days on the Hill where they work together as a force to advocate for issues that affect all green-industry businesses. Members attend panel sessions to get the latest information on key issues and network with hundreds of lawn care and landscape companies at this important annual event.

Participants then honor America’s veterans by lending their professional skills to care for and beautify one of our nation’s most hallowed places – Arlington National Cemetery. Hundreds of NALP members and family members worked in partnership with the horticulture team at ANC to improve the lawns, shore up historic trees, landscape, and complete irrigation and hardscape projects on the grounds.
